Carousel templates are a type of message format used in WhatsApp campaigns to deliver interactive and visually engaging content. They allow businesses to send a single text message accompanied by up to 10 carousel cards in a horizontally scrollable view. Each carousel card can include an image or video, a header, a body text, and buttons for quick actions.
How to create Carousel Template?
Components of a Carousel Template
- Message Bubble:
- This is the main text message that accompanies the carousel cards. It serves as an introduction or summary of the content presented in the carousel.
- The message bubble text is the same for all cards in the carousel.
- Card Header:
- The header can be either an image or a video.
- The header chosen for the first card will apply to all subsequent cards in the template.
- Card Body:
- This is the main content area of each card. It can include text that elaborates on the message or provides specific details related to the card's header.
- According to Meta's guidelines, you should not include more than one line break after each sentence.
- Buttons:
- Each card can have buttons that allow users to take quick actions. There are two types of buttons:
- Quick Reply Buttons: These buttons allow users to send a predefined message without typing.
- Call to Action (CTA) Buttons: These buttons can prompt users to call a phone number or visit a website.
- CTA buttons can have either a static URL or a dynamic URL:
- Static URL: A fixed URL that cannot be changed once the template is submitted.
- Dynamic URL: A URL that can be set when configuring the WhatsApp campaign, offering more flexibility.
Points to Note:
- All the components of a carousel template such as message bubble, card header, card body and buttons are mandatory.
- Card header selected in card 1 will be same for all the subsequent cards added.
- There should not be more than 1 line break in each card body.
- You can add either quick reply button or CTA button or a combination of both.
- You need to add sample for media header, message bubble variables and card body variables for each of the cards added.
- Make sure the sample media file size is not more than 4 mb.
