Once the Display name is edited/submitted, Meta will review and then either approve/reject it. The review might take up to 7 days.
How do I increase my daily messaging limit?
Messaging limits define the maximum number of business-initiated conversations your business phone number can start within a 24-hour period. These conversations include sending marketing, utility, or service templates.
At the start, each business phone number is limited to 250 business-initiated conversations per day. However, this limit can be gradually increased based on business performance and message quality.
The available messaging limits are:
- 1,000 conversations/day
- 10,000 conversations/day
- 100,000 conversations/day
- Unlimited conversations/day
To increase your messaging limit, If your business-initiated conversations in the last 7 days reach 50% or more of your current limit or 80% open rate over a rolling 7-day period, Meta may automatically increase your messaging tier.
It is recommended :
- To have the BOB Notifications switched on. Notifications like Order Confirmation, COD Confirmation, Order Fulfillments, have a high health rating. Since customers themselves have placed the orders, they will not mark these notifications as SPAM. This sends a signal to Meta that it is a valid business with a growing customer base.
- Send campaigns to your existing customers. As the brand keeps sending campaigns to unique numbers, Meta will automatically increase the limit to the next level.

How to improve the quality rating
- Optimize the user experience for opt-in: Only send messages to customers who have opted in to receiving messages from your business and provide a clear way to opt out in the message. If you don't provide this information at specific entry points, you may harm the user experience and the quality rating of your business.
- Create engaging messages: Create messages that are timely and relevant for your target set of customers.
- Be mindful of how frequently you send messages: Avoid sending numerous messages to your customers in a short time period.
- Monitor quality-related insights: Track the 30-day quality history, quality reasons provided for low and medium quality, and template quality. These tools can help pinpoint when the quality dropped and the potential reasons.
- Develop and improve your outreach strategy: Develop a well-defined outreach strategy and an experiment-based approach to see what resonates with your customers. Refine your strategy based on your quality rating trends and other performance metrics.
- Check if your business has added new templates: Check whether you or anyone from your business has added new templates within the last seven days. This may help identify the problematic template.
- Follow WhatsApp policies: Make sure that your messages follow the WhatsApp Business and Commerce Policies.

How long does it take for my Display Name to populate on WhatsApp?
For your brand’s Display Name to populate on WhatsApp, it will usually take up to 7-8 days. This is also dependent on meeting the below criteria as well:
- Your Message Quality should remain High.
- Daily Messaging Limit should be at the least 1,000.
- Your FBM must be verified.
How do I prevent Spam reports?
To prevent further spam reports and reduce the risk of your account being blocked by Meta, please consider the following steps:
- Segment Your Audience: Only send messages to users who have opted in to receive updates from you. Avoid messaging cold or inactive users.
- Use Clear Opt-Ins: Ensure that customers clearly understand what kind of messages they will receive when they opt in (e.g., order updates, offers, etc.).
- Avoid Over-Messaging: Limit the frequency of promotional messages. Too many messages in a short time can trigger spam complaints.
- Use Utility Templates When Possible: Try to use utility-based templates (order updates, service confirmations, etc.) as they have higher approval rates and lower spam risks.
- Improve Message Quality: Keep your messages relevant, clear, and non-intrusive. Avoid using all caps, excessive emojis, or urgent language unless necessary.
- Monitor Quality Rating: Regularly check your WhatsApp Business Manager for the quality rating of your number. If it's low, reduce your campaign volume until it improves.
