What are COD confirmation messages?
COD confirmation messages are notifications sent to customers when a COD order is placed successfully. The main use case of this notification is to nudge the customer to convert their COD order to a Pre-paid order. Hence, these messages are also called COD to Pre-paid conversion messages and help reduce the problem of Return to Origin (RTO).
Using the following strategies, we can see a higher conversion % with these nudges.
Strategy 1: Offer an exclusive discount
Tailor the messaging to inform the customer about the benefits of converting to a Prepaid order.
- Mention details of their order
- Clearly state and highlight the amount saved or discount offered.
- Make sure to mention that the offer is valid for a limited time only.
Strategy 2: Send a reminder
Send a another message to customers to act as a reminder to make the purchase.
- Set up Ping 2 indicating that it's the last chance to avail the offer.
- Set the message to be sent 10 minutes before the flow expires.
- Send a payment reminder to customers who selected the Pay and Get Discount option in the previous ping but have not placed an order yet.
